AAMP is holding their Oral Oncology: Oncologic Dentistry & Maxillofacial Prosthetics Symposium on May 15-17, 2014 in Houston, TX at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center!
The goal of the Symposium is to offer the healthcare provider an update on the multidisciplinary care of head and neck cancer patients and the sequelae of oncologic treatment. Multiple topics will be presented: fundamentals of major cancer and biologic therapies, head and neck surgery techniques and reconstruction, management of oral and infectious complications related to cancer therapies, pain and symptom management, nutritional and psychological counseling, speech and swallowing rehabilitation, and prosthetic rehabilitation of the head and neck cancer patient. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss the fundamentals of major therapies for head and neck cancer and the management of treatment- induced complications.
I had the pleasure to attend this course in 2011. Gave a great overview of a manyfold of aspects related to the treatment and rehabilitation of Head and Neck patients. Truly worthwhile. Harry Reintsema
